Default New wheels for VIR

Well, a new car to go along. It debuted at tech this morning. A couple pictures for those that missed it.

It's a 1980 Euro 930 converted to a full blown GT1R race car in 1999. Mostly ran SCCA SPO in the south east region, winning it's class championship in 2000 and 2001, as well as 2001 POC championship in Florida. It's run a few DEs since an engine rebuild in early 2002.

The results from a dyno run the week before last, after a service, valve adjust and tuneup. 1 bar on a hot, humid day in Knoxville.

Needless to say, I'm looking forward to VIR and praying for dry, cool weather!

Congrats Greg! Looks like a beauty and sorry now I didn't stick around longer this morning to see it in person.

Man, I would love to see the faces in the green group on 9/10 when you line up for the first session

BTW, now your avatar makes much more sense

Congrats Greg ... she's a beaut!

Should be lots o' fun on the track.

#2400 (+200 driver) / 462 = 5.6:1 P2W

Time for bigger flares and 14s on the back so you can run in the "steamroller club".

Have fun!

BTW: you are destined for GREATNESS with that #

Thanks. VIR should be fun, that is, if I can keep it on the track.

The fellow that built it is named Herny Gilbert. He has a web site with
photos of the car during SCCA races. Back then it was pure white.

This is my favorite. Looks like boost is coming on ...

And so ended Ted's smack talk days.

Saw a little sample of what we're in for at VIR from this beast. HOLY SNIKIES. The look Greg had on his face when he got out of the car was classsic. Can't wait to get some footage of it on the track. Although it might be a small dot on the horizon from my car.

Greg,

Congratulations on the new ride!! I'm sure that thing will be a blast to drive and keep the smiles and puckers coming for a long time.

We all owe you a big one for finally putting the muzzle on Smacks.

Enjoy

HOLY CRAP! That is awesome. 462HP? 2400lbs? Be careful - you could get hurt with something like that. I can't wait to see it in person. Congrats!

I was floored when I saw the new Green Run Group crusier. Hubba hubba hubba...what a beast.

Greg, at next Spring's DE at Mid-Ohio, I'm going to run with the camera facing behind me. I'm expecting some great footage...either of your patented Keyhole pirouette :P or some very incredible closing rates.
