Sweet! Hopefully it will be food for thought when they see a couple hundred thouand signatures about this. Maybe they'll even be forced to call an emergency session! (I know I'm dreaming, but why the heck not?)

While we're on this subject, I'm really not happy w/ the VA points system (originally from PA). I have 12 points on my license from just two tickets. I got one on 66 in Warrenton, I got caught going 86 in a 65 downhill in my wife's old Honda Accord. Cop didn't cut me a break, gave me a "wreckless driving" for 6 points and I even had to show up for court, where they instructed me to plead guilty - which I did (and now I'm thinking that was a mistake). 5 months later, I got caught doing 75 in a 55 in nowhere's-ville Ohio. Another magical 6 points appeared on my VA license. Just got a letter in the mail telling me that I get another 3 points, I've got a problem.

Funny enough - never pulled over in the 911.

Rick,
Go to a 8 hour traffic school. That will take 5 points off your license. IIRC costs ~ $200.
