Default Removing heat exchangers

So far I've been able to remove 4 barrel nuts safely, and one come off flush with the stud (some fun ahead ) and one hex nut with the help of a cold chisel. Anyway, the last barrel nut won't accept my allen tool, fo some reason and the cold chisel has mangeled 2 nut on the 1-3 side and I'm hoping with some dorki advice not to have to magel the rest. I've soaked 'em with penetrating fluid and pounded the crap out of them the break the rust hold. Don't have a propane torch here (have 2 at my house in NY though, go figure) and I son't have a crow's foot although that is looking like the best way to tackle the hex nuts on the 4-6 side.

Any thoughts?

My thought is you should have had heat BEFORE you mangled those nuts. Of course, I have better hindsight than foresight...

You can borrow my propane torch, but of course for the $15 you should just drive to Home Despot and but one.

While you are at Home Depot, swing by Sears and buy yourself a set of outside extractors. Best thing since sliced white bread

OUtside extractors? BTW, for some reason te only heat I've had success with is oxy/aceteline.

Mauled nuts in a tight place? sounds like a job for a Dremmel grinder with a one inch cut-of wheel. Or realistically, about half a dozen to ten wheels--you'll no doubt break several, but make a good deep cut--but not so deep as to badly scar the shaft of the stud, then a flat screw driver or cold chisel into the gap, a few taps to spread it, maybe another hit of the liquid penetrant, too. Either it will split, or unscrew. Done it lots of times, almost always on exhaust nuts.
