I had a great time at the Jaguar Event Sat (5/15/04) because there were more Porsche's there than anyother car in races. They had a special corral and all the vintage models were parked there along with a duplicate to my 1995 red 993.
Check out my webshot link for some Porsching Racing Pics. I hope this link gets you there.. Cabman http://community.webshots.com/script...umID=143427202 |

Hi Steve:
Thanks for the compliment. I wasnt sure if I could post them... Check out that red 993!! I had one just like it in 1995... I still wish I hadnt sold it,, it was a beauty. Also, my wife got good pics of that small yellow car in a spin and almost major accident on the second set of pics.... When is the next fun run? I am ready anytime!! Don |

Nic pics Don.
You should have swung through the paddock as Jim R. and I were there today crewing for Jason. Tony K. was also there driving his 951. Pics #4182, 4126 and 3964 are all of Jason in the 356. Pic #3887 shows Jason's Dad (#14) and Jason (#60) together through the carousel ... very nice.

What a great weekend for these races! I ran my car in the charity laps. I can't believe they let anyone run, and carry a passenger without a tech inspection or any experience. And you could run as fast as you wanted! I was getting killed by quite a few cars but I did get my ol' car up to 110 on the straight away. Brakes faded quickly and the stock suspension offered up lots of body lean but all my passengers had a smile on their face after their laps. I was able to get 9 laps in which was plenty for me and my car.
I had a newer AMG mercedes blow by me and a Cayenne on my butt too. Kinda weird seeing those cars on the track. --Dan 1970 911T |

Gee!!! I wish I knew you guys were there. I had no clue anyone from our group would be there.
I did have a great time watching you on the track and except for that one mishap, it was a safe day. If you all go again plz let me know and I will join you with the camera... See you all at the next FUN run or social event.. Don |

Actually, it was rather a wreck filled weekend. Luckily I didn't see any of it but, Jason's dad ended up in the hospital after an off in turn 3. He is one heck of a driver as is Jason! The worst one, as Jason can personally atest to, was on Saturday when one of the GT350s sump let go and dumped all of its oil (I heard in the neighborhood of 26 qts!). 6 or 7 cars were lost including a factory semi-light weight Jag e-type. Jason said the track, at that moment, was like an ice rink.
The best part, other than having the wonderful opportunity to pit for Jason and Jim on sat. and sun., was seeing Brian Redman go out in a Martini livery 908! Although the Rahal cup, aka Noah's Ark cup, was a trip as the tire guy went out on slicks! What a nut! He did finish w/o incident BTW. |
