I think jazzbass is right...it's in the product side, or doing some really trick or custom work. I know of half dozen people that love working with Porsches in their particular niche. Two in particular started their business to buy cheap parts and ended up installing a few items in their friends cars. Their business blossomed from there ...to the point that they can't keep up. Pretty tempting stuff.

As of Friday I resigned and am currently looking for employment in the IT field. In the mean time I'm doing some side work for friends to keep from becoming stale. Any leads or opportunities for an IT Systems Analyst (infrastructure, servers, networking) would be appreciated.

BTW: You guys know of any local p-shops needing some part time help until something more permanent becomes avail? Razz
Man Charlie, give me a call. Been trying to get a hold of you.

My company (BearingPoint) is hiring consultants and system analysts like crazy. I specifically do web development work and have been searching for developers, testers, and requirements specialists over the last 6 months.

If anyone thinks their background fits this mold, I'd be happy to talk to you and get your resume into the system. In my experience, they're paying very well right now (which isn't so good for those of us that have been with the company for 6+ years).

You can do so much better than BearingPoint. Ask me how I know, or search my posts on the Vault.

Charlie, where the hell are you? Check your PM. Your work email was bouncing back yesterday. Dust off your hair net and name tag.

Charlie, this feels kind of weird, but I still waiting for the guy that's supposed to paint my car to get off his butt and get started. I haven't herd from him this week and he may be getting started soon.

Do you know how to do body work or paint?
Maybe you could help and get part of his cut.
Pari introduced me to him and he is backed up on another project.
Maybe you could help him with both.
I know it's not what your looking for, but might keep you busy between interviews and keep some cash flowing. Nothing like doing something you love for a while.

Also send me your resume and I'll check with our CIO to see if he has any openings or ideas for you.
Were a relativly small company when it comes to IT stuff. Mostly users. But you never know!

William, I won't profess any painting skills (had great luck doing my motorcycle) but I am great with a welder and fabricating along with the regretfully occaisional polyester body filler. Willing to lend advice or a hand.

Thanks for the support guys.

William...I really don't know much about body work or painting, but can/will help your guy if he needs a hand. Thanks.

I'm in the process of updating my resume and hopefully will have it ready by weeks end to distribute, e-mail, etc.

If anyone needs to reach me, a PM or e-mail to charliestylianos@yahoo.com will work for now.

-Charlie

Default Great Idea

This is a great idea as I'm planning on starting the process of a career change in the near future.

Good Luck to those already in the process of changing jobs/careers.
