Hey all.
I need some help. Last weekend drove the SC to Baltimore. Ran great. Stopped to check the oil. Just a little above the lower dots. The car started running a little rough. Today, drove about 2 miles and added a quart of oil. Drove for about a half hour and notice that the idle is rough again. I will come to a stop, it idles ~ 750 for about 20 seconds, pressure is about 1.25 on the scale and the oil gauge is now at the 3 o'clock position. Then, I can feel the idle drop to around 400-500, the pressure jumps around between 1-2 and the oil gauge climbs a little. I checked the stick and it's about dead center between the dots. Temperature appears "normal" around the 8:00 position. I don't think the two are related, but I'm a little concerned. I read on Pelican or Wayne's book about adding too much oil and it really messing up the engine. Anyone have any ideas? I really wanted to drive out to SP next weekend in the Porsche. If you have an idea, any time this week and a garage, please let me know. If you have an idea, please let me know that too. Thanks, guys! Steve
