Default 3.0 Liter Settlement Process

I went to Porsche of Tysons last Thursday for Day 2 of the 3.0L settlement appointments. They have to take 6 pictures (2 int, 2 ext, 2 VIN) plus your DL and upload them while you watch. Supposedly. Was told everything was fine, expect payment notice in at MOST 3 business days.

On the 3rd biz day (today), got an email that the info I provided in person doesn't match what I recorded online so my payment was cancelled. I have to reschedule an appointment. What - to give them the same info again? So I called the hotline.

I'm asked if the person who helped me took pictures of the vehicle. Yes. Of the door jamb where the VIN is? Yes, I watched. Well, it's not in the file. Well, that sure as hell isn't my fault.

It then took the hotline person 10 minutes on hold with a supervisor to discover this is a "known issue" that is their "highest priority right now. This happened to a lot of people." WTF. They may or may not discover our pic lost in the sea of other lost files. Their IT department is "working on it" and I will supposedly hear this week if they find it. Or if I have to go in AGAIN and restart the process. I even asked if I could just take a picture of the bleeping door jamb and send it. Of course not.

Thus begins the 3.0 BS, no better than the 2.0 process started.
