Can timing as well as the cam lift/duration will affect the compression values.

190psi does sound a little high for a US SC, but I'm not sure what the compression values should be. Maybe you scored a Euro engine? Check he engine # just to make sure.....Cam timing differs between the two engines as well.

Sounds like you are farther along than I am, nice work.
