Hey guys/ gals.
I've been lurking on this site for some time & I even posted a few times, but now I communicate to you with a new sense of legitimacy. Last Friday, I flew out to Seattle from Dulles to take delivery of my first Porsche. It's a Guards Red 86 930. You can read about the cross country adventure from Seattle to DC in the tech thread section, once I complete the story. To the matter at hand. I am in need of replacing the one of the rear wheel bearings. I was hoping that someone in the area would be kind enough to lend both tools and a hand. Although I currently have the associated "grinding" noise, I am willing to drive anywhere in the DC metro area to that "kind soul." I called Curry's Auto Parts in Manassas & the bearing & seal will be in this coming Tuesday. If needed, I live in Southern PG County (Route 5 corridor) and as writing above, I am willing to drive to you. Feel welcome to contact me directly at markensmith@comcast.net . Thanks in advance for any assistance. Trust me, you wouldn't want to miss a chance to "see" this 86 G50/50 K27HF, etc, etc, etc 930!! Thanks for the space.
