I was one of the 4, 60 gunners in my platoon. I carried 700 rounds on me and I made everyone except the RM carry an additional 200. Bone dry my 60 was 17.5 pounds. Each box of 7.62 link was around 5 lbs. So when I did carry my 60 with full gear, they called me "Lucky Legs" as in, lucky they don't break off and stick me in the ass. I loved to pray and spry though.
