Everyone here has pretty much got the idea about what needs to be done concerning braking, shifting, and turn-in when trying to turn a spirited lap at some race track...Summit Point in most cases. Most of the conversation has been talking about T1. Does anyone have a real feel for how long it takes to be off the throttle, threshold brake, turn into the corner, and then be back on the throttle at turn one? In most cases, depending on the type of car and driver capabilities, it is less than 3 seconds. That's not much time to get it all put together and do it smooth w/o loosing a couple of tenths. There aren't many things that we do in life where we worry about being two tenths off the pace. Most of the guys I race against qualify within 2-3 seconds of each other. This is all pretty amazing stuff. Cheers, Rich
