After tearing my (2nd) OEM windshield gasket, I have had enough.
I pulled the car out of the garage and followed the Pelican article. I actually got three tries in before the rubber tore. The first two times it didn't stay seated as we pulled out the 550 cord soaked in dishwater soap and water. The 3rd time it tore the rubber. I... AM... DONE... This is not my favorite task and I cannot afford any more experience... ![]() The problem is... If I am going to have a shop do it, I should probably go ahead and replace the clouding glass. And I am spending that much money, I should probably replace my broken, cracked and missing-fastener dash... You know, While you're in there... I have heard recommendations for thatglassplace.com and recommendations to only use OEM rubber and Sekurit glass (if I can find it). Wish me well...
