Default '68 update

I haven't posted an update on my '68 project in a while so here goes.

The cams are back from Elgin. Ground to an E spec. Crank and heads are back from Ollies. The case will be bore aligned and new studs inserted by Ollies.

Pistons turned out to be Mahle 92mm RSR pistons with 90mm Mahel cylinders bored out to 92mm. Ollies is refinishing these as well.

Last several weekends has been just working on the rust in the rear shelf.

Lots of grinding and cutting. We welded in a center section to hold everything in place so we can cut out the edges, grind and replace the inner fender well areas where there's rot. A local body shop let us borrow a tool to make the ridges in the sheet metal.

Should be finished with the rust repair in a few more weekends.

Been busy making lots of noise for the neighbors. The wife got a bit upset with the new air die grinder going along with the angle grinder

The rear suspension has been cleaned up and one rear wheel bearing is being replaced.

Progress is being made!
