TD you're doing quite a job getting the 44 ready for your debut race, must be a daunting task especially the first time out making sure you've researched all thr rules and complied and got the car running and ready and gotten all of the appropriate safety equipment. And still not having your motor back in with two weeks to go can't be unstressful. I don't have extra time this weekend but could probably make time next weekend if you still need help getting everything to come together. That goes for the rest of the dorki making their race debut at VIR in two weeks. In fact, congrats to all of you!!!! I'm hoping all of you win, or at least make it there and finish!!!

Well cheers to you too then, the unsung hero, the pitcrew, only given credit when things go wrong. And thanks for not wearing your hot pants.

Cliff, Thanks for the insight.

Dave, thanks for not wearing hot pants.

Anything is possible with the help and support of friends.

To make this post on topic, I will note that I had great luck with performance friction pads on the 996. Great stopping power and feel, and amazing longevity. I didn't know they made pads for Wilwoods, so I will check.

wilwood is quite plentiful and many of the calipers w/in the same "family" use the same pad. b/c they are plentiful, every major brake pad manufacturer has a selection of the popular compounds for them.

back before there were 97's, i was running 80's (or was it 88?), 90's, and lastly 93's on my wilwoods.

Dave - not sure actually as they have seen such little use have not needed another set yet. Sure kurt can bring out the measuring calipers tomorrow to check it out.
