My search was somewhat sidetracked by a family trip to Disneyworld. A trip to Disney can clear out the Porsche purchase fund but I am on the road to recovery.

I'm looking forward to the Central PA PCA Swap meeting Hershey next month. Maybe something will turn up there.

Thanks for the leads.

Chuck

Everything will be fine. I just need to withdraw some money from my account in Cyprus.

My search continues for a good early 924. I've been watching Craiglist in the MD/DC/VA area and have gone to see several cars, most of which need everything. After reading more on 924.org I think the 931s are off the search list.

If you must pursue such madness, the 1988 924 SE would be the car to find. It is rare, which does not make it valuable in any way but it does offer a few advantages. The 1988 model year had a modest increase in hp from 150 to 160. In typical Porsche fashion the SE deleted many items in an effort to trim weight, so you wind up with more power, less weight and that is always better but it’s still a 924

That's a clean 924 but $8500 is a bit beyond my budget for a fun car. I doubt that there are that many left in that condition.

I found a 1980 924 for $3500 which is in OK shape but with a cracked dash, seats and back glass frame separating. Owner is firm on his price so the search continues. The other cars I've found can best be described as "tired."
