Default Special Thanks for HPDC

I wanted to take a minute and say Thank You to all the people that gave up their weekends to teach us greenies a few track lessons. I personally want to say thanks to the instructors that worked directly with me. Kurt M., Charlie Clark, Eric Allen, Bill Jay & John Brown. You guys should be given a round of applause for the time you invest in teachings others to drive on the track the correct way. Thank You!!

Mike

The smiles in the paddock and students telling you this is the most fun they have ever had with their clothes on is reward enough for me! Have a blast watching the bulb turn on when by the end of the session they really "get" it. Mat (OffCamber) did an awesome job on saturday and I could not be prouder. He is gonna be one quick dude. Also instructed a 78 year old in a nicely prepped Brumos 914 Replica car. He was a huge surprise and passed every blessed car in his group (some even twice). Yesterday was a corvette (not sure the year but it was a tribute car to the 66 GS?) that had a mean growl. The owner (Gerry) did not want to risk his 98 C2S just yet but he will be bringing it to DE now. Other student was pac man in his group in an 03 Boxster S, and has a natural talent enhanced by a misspent (well spent?) youth.

Great time, great weather, great cars, and AWESOME people!

Bill

I will post in this thread as well that I had a fantastic time on Saturday.

Many thanks to everyone involved for making it a great event and especially to Bill Jay for making me trust myself even when I thought I couldn't.

My buddy Dave is now contemplating a 944 to complement his WRX so that he can run with us all the time. He is totally hooked.
