Really ironic and sad, Dan was a past Chief Instructor with Potomac, one hell of a driver and teaches at the Police training establishment in Sykesville. Trully terrible that his son was killed by a teen who should have benefited from Dan's commitment to safety.

Since the last bus came to the US in about 1979(?) they are all old IIRC, lap belts in the front seats were outlawed in about 1968. Not sure how knowing if someone was wearing a belt really matters. Loved ones were lost and that hurts no matter the surroundings.
