Default G50 Banana arm bushings

Guys,

We hit a bit of a snag on the bushing replacement earlier today.

How does one best get the banana arm bushings off. We had our 22mm wrenches out and couldn't get a good grip on the bolts.

Is there a difference in this area between the 915 and G50 cars? Steve got his out, they were a pain, but they came out? Bently doesn't have any tricks. Just says "remove bolt"...

Any advice is appreciated. I would prefer to replace these bushings, but don't want to waste everybodies time, and have a hard time believing that one has to remove the engine to get at them.

Thanks!

Never seen a G50 car, but is it because the sheet metal has a deep lip making getting the wrenches on straight impossible? We sorta had this problem on VMBs 78 930 a few weekends ago. The area was definitely beefed up compared to a plain-jane 915. We got it off w/ some extensions and universal joints on the impact wrench. A deep offset box end wrench would have done the trick too but I had left mine @ home.
