Thanks, Tim. If I get another ticket, I definitely will prior to my court date. Or is it wise to do this prior to going over?

Honestly, I'd do it now. It could only help your insurance and IF you get another ticket you won't have to work backwards to get your license back. You would be down to 7 points and have a buffer before they pulled your license. Don't wait for the court to order the school, if that happens the DMV will not honor the -5 points and your SOL.

The thing is Kaine wins by not calling a special session and waiting until Jan. The Republicans should and will get spanked for this in November and then Kaine gets the money AND more Dems in office by the time they reconvene in Jan. And the fact that Albo stands to get rich off this just chaps my a$s to no end. I'd like to mail him a bag of steaming dog turds.

It doesn't suprise me that both parties are playing politics with this. Clearly it rubbed people the wrong way.

I realize that from previous posts (sorry if I make too big an assumption) you may be in the not one cent more taxes camp, but for me, I like the fact that $0.01 increase in gas tax would basically do the same thing. It just seems to be a more logical choice.

And don't worry too much about Albo, he will get what's coming to him when he looses in November... or the primary (if they have one for such an office). Devloites is backing away faster than I would from a bear and he is still defending it. Conflict of interestes, no, ya don't say

I meant to sign this earlier, but it slipped my mind.

In any event, I saw the article this morning. I hope like hell this causes a lot of politicians to lose their jobs and that it prompts those in other states and Congress to take note that doing stupid things can actually come back on them.

BB.

I'm about as anti-tax as they come, but I'd much rather see a $.01 or even $.02 gas tax increase before these stupid fines. At least out-of-staters would pay and the law would not be selectively enforced as speed limits are now. And since there's no chance that VA will ever curb development or - horrors - cut spending, I guess they will get the money one way or another.

break it off in their ass guys! it's bad enough that those of you in the northern end of Va have to live in what must be one of the shittiest places on earth but to road tax you to death for trying to get to your cubie a few minutes early so you can make the payments on your Lexus and your $600,000 townhouse that over looks a beautiful metro station, well that's just a bit toooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!

and while you're at it can you do a petition against this 'reckless by speed' bullshit?!
