Default 600 lb/ft torque wrench

For those pesky axle nuts. SnapOn 'torqueometer'. Dial indicating type. Twice as accurate as Dave's for those special jobs. AND, recently calibrated in 1987 :P

Can I barrow?
I have to do both the axle nut and the ball joint nuts.
I only need it for a few minutes. These pieces are portable now. I would just need to figure out some way to hold them while tightening.

Josh needs it at the same time with my ball joint nut tool.

John said its not a problem, but he also has a 250 lb/ft wrench that would be better for the ball joints.

Is there a time that works best for you? My parts are portable as well...

I did my rear wheel bearings recently and don't have a wrench capable of setting the axle nuts to the required torque (360 ft/lbs I beleive). Is there any chance I can borrow this tool? I understand I'm a new guy so you may be wary...
Let me know, and thanks in advance!

Hitting that kind of torque on a loose part is going to be real hard. It might be better to install and then tighten.

Hmm, I'm not sure what you mean, the Axle nut is on the car and torqued as much as I could by hand (still nowhere near the amount needed).

I have removed the centercaps from my wheels so I should be able to torque these down without even lifting the car.

Thanks though!

It helps when new to fill out your profile or come out to an event or two. I also have a 600 lb. wrench, but it would be nice to know the persons actual name before lending it out.

It was a X-mass present from my wife. She regularly hits the “gift bull’s-eye”

Dave, I’m the same guy, you just listen closer. Especially after I saved your a## from being compressed, and as always thanks for the uncivil engineering and math lessons
.
And Paul you are welcome to the wrench when ever you need it
