National Recognition for one of Dorki's own
Dorki Tony K's fame spreads nationwide.
Page 173 of the August 2004 Grassroots Motorsports, the hardcore sportscar magazine, praises our very own Tony's placement in the 944 Cup at Daytona International Speedway for Rennsport Reunion 2. As most of us know, Tony's water-cooler is a new car for him, and all should join me in congratulating him for both his success and his notariety. "Hollywood" maybe taken, but I'm sure we can come up with a new handle for Tony.

Not sure I can claim any kudos for this one, alhtough it was nice to get a mention.
The 944Cup started in the Mid Atlantic [started by Dave Derecola, who is PCA Potomac's club race chairman], and now has a south eastern chapter based in Florida. Fortunately [for me] the SuperCup hotshoes are all in the south east. I can win the MidAtlantic while being bested by the more experienced SE guys. Truth will be told at the VIR race end of July when the two groups race together. Trouble is I'll be carrying penalty weight for three race wins, butit will be plenty of fun none the less. Biggest challenge right now is to finish installing a new oil cooler, a cool shirt system, AND figure a way to carry tires. Dumb move of the month might be selling my old tire rack to a fellow PCA guy before I had a replacement built and ready to roll. Nothing like a little over-tasking!
