Default Hello! New owner and member here.

Hello everyone,

We just bought a '06 C4S for my fiance, it'll be here daily driver and general good time fun car. It's our first Porsche, so I don't know that I'll have a ton to contribute on the tech side, but I look forward to learning from all of you and adding what I can.

So far the driving and overall ownership experience has been fantastic. This has more to do with the community than anything else. We've been approached by friendly owners in parking lots and had great conversations with the PCA members we've met in our short time of owning the car.

One memory sticks out here that I feel I should share. We took the new car to the pre-DE-Inspection this past weekend to get a better look at the car and see what we could learn. We we're greeted and embraced by all the folks there. I took note, but the thing that really drove it all home was when we were driving away, my fiance mentioned how nice it was to be talked to as a competent person as opposed to a girl who couldn't possibly understand cars. You won her over, no easy task, and impressed me even further.

Thanks for being such a great group!

Here's the only pic I've taken so far:

Pretty car! Lucky girl! Welcome and sorry you were "embraced by all the folks" at the Tech. They are a cuddly bunch.

I must admit we did not... an oversight on my part. I'll see if we can't make up for it next go-round.

We're actually hoping to make it on the drive (& pie, I believe) the weekend of the 4th. We don't have much in the way of details yet, but it's on our radar and we'll be there.

We also signed up for a High Performance driving class at Summit Point later this summer that was recommended at the tech check. It'll be the fiancé's first time on a track, I can't wait to see her face after a few laps.

True... but slippery isn't always a bad thing.
