OK, I'll admit it......I enjoy wrenching on the Porsche.

Trouble is, I keep making the fundamental error of assuming its going to be fun wrenching on other cars = WRONG!!

Just had a most frustrating time wrestling with a simple brake pad job on Janet's ancient Probe. The 14mm caliper bolts defeated me. Tried gobs of WD-40, and torched them to cherry red, and still only managed to budge 1 of four. Dammit.

Wait....does this mean I need, no must have, air tools? Surely a decent 90 degree impact wrench would have got them, right? Think I'd better run right down to the store and buy some.

That is a very well reasoned purchasing decision.

With my luck the impact wrench would just rip off the head. Probably cheaper to replace the whole caliper.
