Directions might help for those of us that live in the boonies!
From Summit Point I guess I should come in 7 and get on 66 or something like that?

Drive careful. Most folks are stone bone tired after their first HPDC. I would like to make it but the wife unit is going out to a peformance in DC on Sat night and I am under house arrest with the kids. Payback for being gone both weekend days. Telling her that HPDC is work for instructors did not work at all.

Happy B day, Bud.

Count Noah in!
He will be there to tear up Charlie's other arm. Hopefully both arms will be so sore he won't be able to lift his fork and knife up. Then Geoff will have to feed him, what a kodak moment that will be.

Default Rio Grande Cafe in Arlington Directions

From the north MD 270

Take 270 to I-495 S (American Legion Bridge)

The I-66 East toward the city (DC) exit is on the left

There will be a couple of merges before you get onto true I-66 (hint you'll see the vienna metro when you have finally merged completely onto i-66)

Take I-66 toward the city til you hit the glebe rd exit

The glebe rd exit is a single exit. Go to the second light and make a right on glebe rd

Take I think the second light afterward (should be fairfax drive)

If you hit wilson blvd then your a street to far, but no worries you can take a left on wilson then another left as you go by ballston (it will be on your right). Fairfax avenue and rio will be one street over

If you hit fairfax rio will be on your left. If take the immediate left after the restauraunt (right by the metro) there is a underground parking garage that rio will validate half the parking fees.

Viola. Similar from the city except that the glebe rd will be a few more lights away from fairfax. You'll get of I-66 at glebe rd take a left at the end of the ramp onto glebe. Go over 66 and through a few lights to fairfax...

from the sizouth: You'll need to come in by way of I-395 to washington blvd

take washington blvd all the clarendon. Take a left on Wilson Blvd at clarendon (the long dangerous and confusing intersection)

From Wilson go about a block and a half to the next light and make a right. There will be a gas station catty corner to you at this light. You have now taken a right onto Fairfax and are headed towards Rio Grande Cafe which will now be on your right side. See above

Default Bugalowes

Hrm this is harder and easier.

I normally cut through arlington via glebe to walter reed to get down to shirlington. However for those that are unfamilar:

Probably best to take I-395 to the shirlington exit which is the exit after king street (going north) or edsall rd

And the exit after Glebe going south.

The shirlington exit (be careful not to wind up on quaker lane; i still don't know where that goes but lost) dumps you right in shirlington which is sort of a little old town type deal. Bungalows should be easy to find from there.

Hope that helps,

Geoffrey

Thanks for all the folks who were able to come out and celebrate with us!! Think I can honestly say we all had a great time. I'm sure glad we stuffed ourselves with heavy Mexican food before round #2 of the evening.

Waking up today wasnt much fun, and I'm still recovering - 'burp'

Thanks again guys
