I've been installing and piping my vertical compressor in my shop, and am having trouble finding a few pcs.
I'd like to plumb in a pc of flexible hose right off the 3/4" ball valve on the tank outlet at the compressor to reduce vibration before I connect to my 3/4" pipe running 'round the shop. I'm having trouble finding hose that large, and don't want a pressure drop by reducing there. Anyone know where I can get larger hose & fittings? Tried HD, Lowes, Tractor Supply...etc, seem to have just 3/8" stuff. Should I try and Pepboys or something? Keith

Grainger has a bunch of different 3/4 inch diameter hoses on their web site. And they have warehouses in Falls Church (on Gallows) and Springfield.

Dash-X AN and AN fittings work well too. AN fittings thread right onto plumbing flare fittings. I have some 12 inch or so stubs of Dash 12 and Dash 16 if you want.

Kurt,
Thanks for the offer, did find it at Grainger over on Gallows Rd., and plan to go there today to get it if the roads are clear (and that's a big IF). They called the part made specifically for air compressors; "Flexible Metal Hose" in case anyone's interested, and comes in a variety of sizes. Mine is 3/4". Thanks everyone!! BTW: Josh, Kurt, I bought a 60" blast cabinet if you or another Dorki is ever in need. Should be in next week. Keith

That's sweet! I have some media I can donate!
Now I know why you were looking for 3/4" stuff. You gonna get a big dryer? How far out in the county do you live? My sister lives in Bluemont.

I live in Waterford, just West of Leesburg (its on the way to your sister). Your certainly welcome to use it Bill, and yes any media you might have would be wonderful. I have to pick it up in Hagerstown, MD next week at the Yellow Freight port.
Yes, I did purchase a refridgerant dryer, though it's now plumbed only to my Powder Booth. I can change it if I need to. I spent today getting the 3/4 pipe in, and installing regulators, filters, and secondary dryers hooked up to things like the Blast Cabinet area. I'll let you know when I get it all fired up, and you can come on over anytime. Keith
