Default Yellow GT at HBL

Roger Jr's brand new shocking yellow Porsche GT is sitting in the Porsche showroom if anyone wants a looksee. It sounds good but $500,000.00?

If the management at HBL were smart they would insist that you take it for a test ride to make sure it is ready for delivery. It is a beautiful day and there is nothing like an objective opinion.

I hope they don't move it before I stop by tonight.

I stopped by this evening. They have it "under glass" per orders from the new owner. Won't let anyone near it, though it is visible. Sweet car, but I'm with Kurt, re: $500k. One can get a lot of track car for a lot less than that. Case in point ...

As to the link above, there was one of them replicas at Lime Rock this summer at a Metro NY DE I attended...Really cool car. It's actually slightly larger than a real 917, but still looks tiny. The guy wasn't a great driver, but sure knew how to spend his money

To add the "No stigma of low cost" car list at HBL there is a Benz 2 seater that came in Tue afternoon. $465,000,00 sticker + an est $200,000.00 dealer value added. 0 to 60 in 3. low something 210 MPH top end. All carbon fiber with gull winged doors and a 500 +HP supercharged V8. The inside is as nice as you would expect for a car that thinks it is a small McLean house.

Unlike the porsche GT this one is not called for and is for sale. If any Dorki want it I think I can get two or three K knocked off.

For the $ the $250,000.00 A.M. Vanquish is still the best sounding.

Well I went there last night and the salespeople were kind enough to let me be a tourist for a little while. Although Yellow is not my first choice, I definitely had the same adrenaline rush I had when I first saw my own car. Perhaps not the absolute greatest track car but I would still happially take one home. I wonder if they can wiggle $400K off of the sticker?

I have heard this is true of many supercars, but I will also add that it is by far more stunning in person than it is in pictures.
