Default DIY carrera fuel rails

I had posted pics of how I welded up OldTs old carrera 3.2 intake. Well, heres step 2 of the project. I needed fuel rails. So I bought some aluminum extrusion and spent a few hours on the mill. Machined pockets for the injs, counterbored holes for the mounting ears, and made mounting ears. The trickiest part was machining the correct MS 16142/SAE J1926 pockets on the rails to hold o-ringed straight AN6 fittings (I broke down and spent some money on the proper form cutter instead of making my own - don't want to risk a leak there...)

BTW, I'll buy nickel o-ring fittings (or strip the blue anodize off these.) Trying to go more au-natural w/ black and natural aluminum fittings and black aeroquip socketless hose. Will probably beadblast the rails to make them match the manifold a little more. Trying to hide the bling...

Edit: Names changed to protect the innocent (actually it was my short term memory that screwed up who I got the manifold from)

The 911s got TWM ITBs and braided/blue/red/yellow stuff out the ying-yang. One car is enough. Trying to tone it down and keep the /6 a LITTLE more period looking while still adding modern technology. I plan on reinstalling much of the bright trim & bumpers on the car and make it look like it was from the 70s again instead of the blacked out 80's wannabe look its sporting now.

DR, thanks
