I'd like the $85,000 Carrera GT watch. I'm accepting donations (starting today).

I got a genuine Harley Davidson chronometer with a faux leather wrist band for ~$29.95 at the base a few years ago

There's a new version out:

Monaco Vintage Limited Edition

"The latest iteration of the iconic square dial originally made famous by Steve McQueen, pays tribute to the Porsche-Gulf 917K racecar featured in the legendary cult film "Le Mans." Beyond cool, this 2007 limited edition piece has a black dial with orange and blue stripes, vintage "GULF" logo at 6 o'clock and matching black alligator strap with orange stitching."

Anything with the Gulf paint job is hot.

it is a deceptively simple design that hides just how much thought went into it. the black and white diagram shows how each function was deemed progressively more important, the date is integrated into the '4'o'clock position etc etc... they sell at a premium (if you manage to find one)

I really like the Porsche Design in the article; you've got to be on crack to spend 100 large on a watch though. My pop passed down a Heuer Carrera that I'm happy with for now.

I've got a bunch of Mercedes watches - every year they have a huge tent sale here at the home office, to move last year's merchandise. Some really nice watches typically sell pretty cheap - most of them simply need new batteries.

PS: BTW: I work for Mercedes-Benz, USA home office.
