Default End of an era?

This past weekend at Shenandoah, no 944s registered/showed up to drive. Maybe the first time since the early 80s?

Ha.

The Porsche era ended when US wrenches stopped working on their own cars.

Still mulling over what to do. It's sat long enough a pro probably needs to prep the motor for restating, drain the gas, etc. in addition to getting flywheel surfacing and putting motor/ trans back in. But the indy shops are all really busy and I'd rather leave it sitting in my carport vs outside someone's shop. I get at least one person per week stop in to try and buy it. Not sure if I will track it again s that requires buying a ton of stuff and realistically I would not be able to do more than one or two events/ year so not really worth the $ right now.

But for you fo' fo' luvers out there, the car ran fine except the clutch disc finally giving in after close to 15 years of street and track drivin'. It did not spin a #2 bearing, have a steering arm break, etc. It even drove back home from Summit Point and did not require the typical fo' fo' transport vehicle

When we joined PCA-Chicago at Road America 2 weekends ago, there were ZERO incidents! They had never had that.
