Ordered new E brake pads for 89 Carrera from Vertex ($52.53). They sent me two sets. I will never need the second set. Do I inform Vertex and send them back (bit of a hassle). Or offer them free to someone here that can use them.

Call 'em and ask the same question - maybe they'll send a call tag but I bet for a $50 item they'll realize that passing them along is cheap marketing.

Call them back, tell them you got 2 sets. Either they will ask you to send them back, or say that you can keep them. Either way, it removes you from the decision and eliminates the moral dilemma.

I disagree. You sent this in then offered the second set up on the board. What is the hurry? To do right is to do right not sorta look like it just enough to have a plausible excuse to do what you wanted to all along.

Speaking for myself only I have found that in the long run and most times in the short run doing the right thing pays off in spades.

A True dilemma is a choice between two bad outcomes. The “moral” part is self inflicted.

trying to do the right thing. I called Vertex and left a message for Sydney. I posted to their chat. After a while had lunch. Came back and still # 2 the que. At that point I posted in the parts section. Will see if they ever get back to me.

Morale - the confidence, enthusiasm, and discipline of a person or group at a particular time.

This sounds more like a moral issue vs a morale issue
