Default Never...

Park on the street in a retirement community.

Got hit n' run by a golf cart, I'd say. Bumper, no metal.

Which has me looking for a body shop.

I've dealt with one over on Rt 1 near 4 Mi Run that was supposed to be one of the best...and wasn't. The work itself was good/very good, everything else was a cluster.

And now it looks like it's changed hands.

So. It's your baby. Where do you take it.

Time to get your posse together and cap their @$$. Bring extra ammo - I've seen Sons of Granarchy...

Post a pic. Is it small enough to use a dent removal service? Anything worse adds up quickly on a Porsche.

You referring to the old WagonWorks? (not sure if it still exists) That is where the EuroPro bros Jack and Darren started. If your baby, and you want only the best, think EuroPros. But also think it could take 6 months.

Some Dorkis lately have been making the trek to Richmond to get body work/ paint done down there. Not sure it is much faster, but if it's on your dime it is a bit less expensive.

Default Oh, grrreeeaaat!

Just gets better. I went to wash off 2k Mi worth of road grime and brake dust, and boom, there it is, the windshield is toast.

There's no chip...crack originates from the edge, under the rubber...Hmmm.
Factory?

Anyone else endorse Euro Pros? They do glass?

A scuff repair in a plastic bumper is within the skill pool of most body shops.

i endorse 'That Glass Place' for Porsche windshields. Even if they are not a preapproved shop your carrier should be willing to cover.

Not a scuff unfortunately. I think that's a replace, not a repair.

I'll second EuroPros. If it's coming out of your own pocket, they can work with you if you're willing to let them do it on their own time. If insurance is covering it and it's a newer car where they don't have to wait for parts. If you're doing a major restoration on a 1970s car where they need to remove the REAR fenders to get to the weakened, rusty body parts and things that were repaired incorrectly the first time, and Jack is "doing it on his own time" it can take 2 years, but the results are marvelous (not my car, unfortunately). My last remaining part to be cleaned up is waiting there for me to pick it up. Photos hopefully later this week. There will be detractors for any place, and I have 2 friends who have had problems (only one was with the quality of the work, which I never actually saw), but many, many more friends and acquaintances and myself with excellent results.

It's a Boxster, right. The bumper cover is plastic. Buy one on eBay and put it on yourself.
