Default Rear wheel bearing R&R and tool

See the following Pelican thread for background:

I'm going to be making a similar tool for installation. I'll update my loaner tool list to include.

Removing the hub from the bearing was not too difficult. Used a socket of similar diameter as the hub and hammered it out from the inside. This leaves 1/2 of the inner bearing race on the hub, which needs to be removed. Took the hubs and trailing arms to the shop for bearing and race removal. After some research, looks like heating the trailing arm enough will allow the bearing to 'fall out' (similar to the front bearing R&R process) and a dremel to the race would free it from the hub.

For installation, I'll freeze the bearing and heat the trailing arms and the bearing should fall into place (again, similar to the front bearing R&R process). The tool is needed for pressing the hub into the bearing once it’s installed in the trailing arm. The inner bearing race needs to be supported while the hub is pressed in as it may get damaged or pop out in the process.

Its difficult picturing the process w/o having BDTD. If it works, sure beats taking the car to the shop and spending $150 per axle.
