Great deal. It's the lift for the garage with lots of horizontal space and not much vertical space. I needed a scissor lift because my garage had neither horizontal nor vertical space...but the MaxJax lets you get completely under the car (albeit sitting).

X2 It's a long way from the into price of 1400 four or five years ago though.

Maybe we can talk Ryan into getting this for the Dorki Ghetto? HE should have plenty of room once he gets his enclosed trailer for the new race car.

Interesting. Don't most 2-post lifts have some sort of horizontal bracing?

I bought one from the first group produced ($1700 delivered). It has been a great lift and I have had no issues with it to date. Very sturdy and stable.

On most lifts the piece across the top is for a cable to enable the two sides to lift a the same rate, it is not a brace. They all bolt to the floor.

Here's a good piece that addresses a lot of my concerns. This product looks just about perfect for me. I'm a occasional project guy, not a constant tinkerer, so the storage paradigm works well for me.

^ Looks like it would be pretty good for occasional use. Nice thing for some is having it completely out of the way for the 300 days a year you don’t need it. I’ve found that once you have a lift you are always findings reasons to use it. I’ve even used mine for annual mower R&R, lifting engines to place in stands and holding them to mate up the trans. Even swing a hammock between the arms when I want some private time Neighborhood kids like riding it up and down too.
