Default 986/996 Schnell Short Shift Console
Schnell short-shift kit already installed in a stock 986/996 shifter console. Easy plug-and-play install. Shortens throws about 30% over stock -- perfect for track use.

Reason for sale: I "downgraded" to the 997 shifter since my car is 100% street driven.

Price $100. SOLD.

Is there any noticable improvement in "feel" or oany other benefit other than shortened throw?

It does give a better feel of what is happening at the other end of the shift cables, but it is mostly about much faster shifts given the shorter motion. I really liked it, but it does take more effort when the tranny is cold.

Price drop. The kit costs $149 new and requires you to modify your stock shift console to install it. I'm selling a complete console with the kit installed for that price including shipping.

I'll take it. I actually have a new-in-box short shifter that my wife has been reluctant to install in the car, beause we couldn't change back in the event she doesn't like it. Yours with the OEM frame makes it possible for us to revert if needed.
