I'd love to see it when it is done, looks great on photos, but would like to see how well it works.

I'm using the one that gives both the LED and digital read-out for AFR only. It uses the same module as what's picturesd in the link. However with out the additional boxes "daisey-chained" together for the add'l data. The car this is being used in is "old school" and has stand alone gauges for many of the other funtions. I was just looking to get reliable AFR readings.

PLX is also being used to support the new "In Your Face" gauge package that's being offered. This is a pretty nice unit for 89 and earlier 911s as it utilizesd a modified 930 tach which provides a window for the digital data to appear. You customize and add a box for what you need to see.. there is a controller that lets you scroll between readings. Nice alternative to adding gauges all over the dash/console.

Looks cool, but how do you monitor all your systems when they are displayed on one guage? Guess you need idiot lights to alert you to the non-displayed functions if there is a problem. Sometimes problems are over-analyzed and over-engineered to impress. I prefer just simple, readable, analogue guages. One for each system. No buttoms to push, no controller to lose, just straight-up needles to read at a glance.

I tend to agree with Kevin on the simplicity of multiple analog guages. But I could see using one of these for additional monitoring features on less critical systems, like maybe temp sensors on each header pipe.

For a stock car like mine where real estate in the cabin is at a premium, I prefer multi-function gauges, so I can look at critical info with a single glance. I used similar guages in the past and once you get used to it, it is becomes simple to pick out what it important.

Oil pressure? I wonder if that can be accessed from the OBDII and displayed on these guages.
