In case you haven't already seen or heard, the stock markets are taking a major dump today. DJIA is down more than 500 points.......... my TSP is shrinking........

Shouldn't you old guys have diversified by now? Sure, stocks took a hit, but 10-year T-bills spiked. Not that I understand how t-bills work.

When I decided I needed to diversify my assets, I decided to add an air cooled car.

it looks like real homes, that is homes that are just big enough to hold about one family are still going up in value per FFC. The apartment buildings with one front door and address now selling as SFH are not for now. some brackets look like they are going to take a beating in the short term. If the market goes down for a while and there is enough panic or hardship selling I just might be buying. Anyone what a 2000sf house inside the beltway with a shop and lift out back?

This is a buying opportunity. Buy high quality, safe index funds like SP 500 and like the iShares Top 100 dividend paying companies fund, or some blue chip type mutual funds as soon as the market hits rock bottom in the next week or two. And in the mean time you can make money on bonds. And if there is a correction in commodities, such as oil, in the coming weeks, buy low and anticipate that oil prices will rise in the summer driving season. EDIT: The market will come back, I swear. In the meantime, buy low. Last edited by DDD; 02-27-2007 at 11:40 PM. |
