Try some VW (old beetle) sites. Used to have plug-in space heaters. Course you could always find a Ero gas heater Nothing like have a gasoline heater with open flame right by the gas storage device

Heaters you plug in don't work. There simly aren't enough watts avail from the cars electrical system to generate enough BTUs to heat the air. Spend the money on wool socks & a coat. I *DO* use weider electric chaps/vest/gloves on the bike and they work well. No reason you couldn't plug them in the car but its pretty bulky (the gloves are HUGE). Wouldn't be worth it except for the long drive to VIR in Feb... I just suck it up and drive the car w/o heat.

I did the same thing. I got a little heater from Northern tool that I run in my car. It never really bothered me in SC, but the Mrs used to get cold. I'll get a pic and a make model this evening. Worked great late Friday night coming back from Arlington. Made it nice and toasty in there I had to crack a window.

My buddy in high school used to drive a '71 ghia. Had more holes than metal I think. I rode with him to/from school a lot. We ended up going to one of those military surplus stores and stocking up on heavy wool blankets for $6/ea. Nice and cozy, but people gave us some odd looks on the highway.

I know I've seen car seat covers that are heated - plugs into cigarette lighter. As a nice bonus, some of them have built in massage feature.
