Default Missing that "at the track" feeling on a nice week

Fired up the lawnmower this afternoon and suddenly had this feeling I was at the track! Strange occassion for a deja vue sensation.

Then I remembered - I drained some gas from the "T" during the MFI retrofit. Nothing like a little 110 octane in the mower to bring back those righteous paddock smells.

Me too! Course had to change the oil in the mower and edger and clean the plugs, and wash them off

Drained some “high test” from the SC At $2.54 a gallon I probably should have gone up and got some regular

You guys are dead sick. But now that the question is on the table, who has the fastest Dorki lawn tractor? I'm thinking stock class - no mods from the aircleaner to the exhaust manifold - suspension and wheels are free, weigh including driver catalog weight + 200#.

Now, all we need is a golf course to race on

Disclosure: I do NOT own a lawn tractor [for which I am eternally grateful].

My Sears 15HP has 6 gears and is dead fast.

I had a cub cadet at one point, with a hydromatic transmission (infinately variable). I put my wife on it one time, and thought I had explained the operation of the tranny (move the lever forward, and you go forward, move it back and you go backwards).

She slammed the lever full forward and roared off. I was damned impressed. I didn't realize that she didn't get the variable bit. She oversteered in the turn at the end of the chute leading to the garage and put the tractor into the chain link fence, wrapping it up pretty well.

She hasn't ridden a tractor since. Gotta mow the lawn myself.

Fuel me up with beer and I'll race you on the Sears with me and the push.

My soon to be 85 year old mother drives hers like she’s in the commuter lanes on 95! She likes a close cut so I’m forever beating the deck back into shape. Some times I feel like a NASCAR crew chief, just have to get the wheel weight changes down to under a minute. I hate yard work like ex-wives and emission tests
