Default Great Day At The Club Race Today!

What a great day today at SP for the Club Race. The weather was spectacular, the racing was superb, the Dorki were well represented and even a few prizes were won

Be sure to mark your calendars for next year ...

Big thank you to Tony for hooking my dad and I up with crew passes. We went on Saturday. Despite the weather we had a few good laps on the the track thanks to "laps for charity". I think we got 7 laps in all! Some knucklehead behind me managed to spin his silver Targa comming onto the front staight. Totally left me jonesing for some seat time. VIR can't come soon enough. Got to see some great cars and some bad crashes. (pictures to come) Thanks again to "DayTony" for the passes, or is it "DeerTony".

It was nice to see fellow Dorki's out yesterday. The Sunday enduro was amazing. I enjoyed watching the various Porsches rip around Summit Point, including BettyC and her husband in the 666. I have never seen a 914 being driven so hard and so well . Here are some photos I took.

Jase, great driving in the 356 !

I can't wait for next year's race .

What a great weekend! Thanks for the kind words Pari. I think the new paintjob made the car faster. 8)

Also thanks to Kurt for the Patrick Starfish balloon. Gary couldn't quite figure what was going on when he found it on the car early Saturday morning. It IS a perfect match for the car so look for a new decal at VIR.

Apologies to Firoze for not getting a crew tag to you. There was no mechanism for getting it to you at the gate and I didn't have a way to contact you from the track. Again, sorry for any inconvience.

Jason, did you run out of gas on the enduro? We actually had 3 gallons left at the end.

Betty, your car rocks! No missing you on the track. Although that may not always be a good thing w.r.t race officials.

All you parents, don't tell your kids that Tony killed Bambi!

Jim, are you going to have those new Hoosiers mounted in time for VIR?

For those of you that missed it, Jim won a free set of Hoosiers. It DOES pay to volunteer!

Ha! I need to run at least one event on my new RA-1's! If only I had waited to a couple of weeks to buy them.

Oh, the door prize for the set of Hoosier's was "only" a 1/2 price deal. 8)
And the Trophy Girls were on hand to deliver the prize.

YES, it DOES pay to VOLUNTEER. We had a good Dorki turnout at the Club Race but we can always use more Dorki's at club events.
