Has anybody thought the 13 quart cooling unit was "too small," or the 19 quart unit "too big"?
Thanks in advance, Goldilocks |

Depends on your use case? DE short sessions, race enduros, AER- 2 hour stints, Chump/Lemons, etc.

Holy chit -- 13 gallons?!? Isn't that a lot of weight transfer when it sloshes around?

You can emulate the 777 car and freeze a few giant blocks of ice well in advance of the weekend (I use disposable freezer containers, about 3x4x5"). They won't cool as much as small ice cubes, but will stay frozen a lot longer.
I had the 13 quart cooler when I raced the P-car and it stayed cold through an Enduro. The "medical grade" coolers are better insulated and don't leak water. Here's a thread to build your own.

Size matters! Both in amount of ice and where it's mounted.

Thanks all! No two-hour stints for me. It's DE sessions and however long I wind up staying out at Driver's Club. I'm going with the 19 quart, even though it sounds like the 13 quart is plenty. Mostly because I'm hoping it will last for the 1:15:00 drive home in the summer heat.

I used 13 in 90 min enduro and is ice cold all the way, imho the 19 is probably overkill for 99% of applications. but hey if you like weight hahaha
