Default Great Shop

I just had my engine completely rebuilt at RPM in Newington. Stan and Bill are very knowledgeable and friendly, and they did an excellent job with the rebuild. I would highly recommend them even though the traffic to their shop is horrible!

Here's my engine spec:
1970 911T.
Headwork done by EBS to stock spec
Cams reground by EBS to 'E' spec
New Mahle S pistons and Cylinders
Micro polished Crank
Oil squirter update
Completely assembled and installed with the original Zenith carbs. Car runs great and I have put about 200 miles on it so far.

I chose RPM over all other local shops mostly because of their knowledge, ability to complete work in a timely manner, and recommendations from other people who I trust.

Highly recommended. I can tell you some other shops to NOT go to if you want to email me privately

Is that EBS as in Nevada? I'm going to need some head work soon.

So did RPM sub the headwork out to EBS or had it been done in a previuos rebuild? Stan has had my car before and those guys are great, right near my house too. My new 3.2 has EBS headwork and I can't wait to try her out.

David:

I would wager a guess that it is the EBS in NV. They have an outstanding reputation in the 911 commuity.

FWIW.

http://www.ebsracing.com/ is their web address

I bought their rebuild set for my 3.3 turbo engine. I sent my heads and pistons out there for work. I had them bump up the compression 1/2 point, new springs and retainers, coated side skirts, yada yada. They were very highlly recommended. Biggest issue I had was shipping time out and back and their backlog. Overall I am very happy.
Best

Yes EBS in Nevada. I sent the heads there myself before I went to RPM's shop. I had to change shops a couple times before I found RPM and was immediately put at ease with their knowledge.

EBS did a great job and was very timely. They also bought back my old cylinders which they originally bored when I was first going with JE pistons (which I returned too to get the Mahle set).

Does RPM also do machine work, or have a favorite place? I've ordered cams, pistons & cylinders from EBS but there's got to be a local shop experienced in 911 head work.
