Anyone got an M16X1.5 tap I can borrow?

Need to chase some threads (don't ask).

I can get one online for $25 but will probably only ever use it this one time.

What's he main difference besides the obvious between tap styles: "taper, plug, bottoming"

I have a M16x1.5 plug thread (D6 fit class). I know because I have them all in a google docs spreadsheet So I *KNOW* I have one even when I can't find it - saves lots of searching time as the memory gets older

Taper = ~8-10 threads are 'reduced' to help cut progressively & get aligned.
plug = 3-4 threads
bottoming = 1 (so will cut threads to the bottom of a blind hole (AFTER you use the others in order)

Will likely be heading over to wonger's tonight if that helps get it any closer (hes closer to gaithersburg than me)
