Default Dorkiphus group buy: Tarett adjustable sway bars

A friend of mine who owns an aftermarket Porsche parts business is about to start carrying the full line of Tarett products, including their super-nice adjustable hollow aluminum sway bars. (See here for more info: http://www.tarett.com/Browse_dept_it...eries_Products)

I'm going to buy a set of these. My friend is going to place an order with Tarett soon, and while talking to him recently about getting my set, he said that if I could round up 5-10 more guys, he could get us a pretty solid price cut -- currently they're $1,000+ for the complete setup; with a group buy, we could get them (ballpark) for $800 at the most. If 10+ guys joined the buy, the price would get closer to $700 (I'll have exact figures this week). The more people who participate, the lower the price.

This is a great opportunity to get a high-quality product for a deep discount. I have no financial stake in this, other than wanting the sway bars.

Any interest?

Not intrested in the bar, but can your friend get parts?
I'd like to see how the rear is connected to the bananna arm.
It look simular to the one on the Weltmiester bar I just installed. I'm looking for a stronger connection.
Anyway he can e-mail a parts diagram and/or list?
Those bars look nice, but way over my budget at this point!

Could your friend also get their 944 bars, or is the GB limited to the 911 setup. I'd be in on a discounted set for my turbo

Hey Noah, thanks for setting this up!

I'm sure it was 911 bars to begin with, but if you can squeak a 944 rear bar into the mix, I'm in!

Much appreciated. Will keep checking this thread for more details.

I'm interested. Would the nut plate adapters and u-brackets also be included in the group buy?

C'mon dorkis, let's get in on this. This is a good deal. $1000.00 of suspension parts for 30% off. You can search the web until you're blue in the face and not find a better deal on brand new susp. parts.

I'll check on the 944 stuff -- definately a possibility. David, the nut plate adapters and u-brackets are included. Bill, I don't think a parts diagram can be offered -- what's on the Tarett site is all I know.

I'll keep you guys updated!
