Default Porsche at Summit Point - Follow Up

From Kevin of the PDC:

I'm extremely happy that everyone had a great time during the July 24th event. I tallied up the number of registered cars and discovered that we had 73 Porsches in attendance. WOW!!!! That's a great number. I'd like to thank everyone who got up early on a Sunday morning to join us. Thank you for supporting our event.

I tried to talk to everyone that attended. I'm glade that people thought highly of the event. Due to safety concerns with such a high turn out, FOW decided to split the lunch time touring track session into two groups. I feel this was the right decision. Despite this change, the event was still a good preview of the Shenandoah curcuit. After driving the track I really want to drive it again.

Seeing all these cars on the tour route was another joy. Must of the cars stayed together which made for a fun trip. The people in Middleburg, Upperville, and The Plains really seemed to enjoy us passing through.

The Porsche Driving Club (PDC) will be doing two more events this driving season. One will be in late September and the other in late October. Details will be released later.

Once again, thank you,

This was my first event with you guys.... and it was a blast. Many thanks for putting this together. My son was lucky enough to get a ride in the red GT1 Corvette.... 140 mph down the straights. Awesome day!!!!!

Great event and a good route to SP. I just wish I did not get stuck in the lead without a co-pilot

VASTEVE, The guy in the TSX was a total dipstick and I also agree that he may have never driven a car before!! After two laps at a top speed of 35mph I decided lunch was a better option.

Kevin thanks again for a great day. I really enjoyed the drive to the track and the time although short period on the Shenandoah track. I definantly will try to attend any other events your group puts on. Thanks again,
Chris.

KJ, nice video. Took me a while to figure out that someone was actually operating the camera and it wasn't mounted in place.

hehe it would be nice to have a robotic smart camera system mounted

The great thing about the casual novice run was you get to bring a camera man. For DEs, I would love to have a camera mount. Still looking for the perfect setup.
