M-1 15w-50 seems to be the standard.

FWIW Walmart still seems to have the best prices on M1. They raised the price on 15w50 recently, but the 5qt container is still only ~$22.

I was also considering Valvoline Synpower but they don't offer 15W50. Would 20W50 be ok all year round?

Sure. I use 20w-50 dino oil in my SC year round. Synthetic's flow much better at cold temps than dino oil. Unless it's 0 out I wouldnt worry about it. If you want to be extra careful you could run 10w-30 in the winter and 20w-50 the rest of the year.
