Default Shenandoah track map?

Does anyone have a trackmap of the new Shenandoah Circuit? Just wondering, since the new track scheds are coming out...want to know the best place to watch. I'm not letting my ameture butt drive that course, looks tight.

Yeah, I've heard its not really for the track n00b (i.e me). I saw it on the schedule - I guess PCA has approved it for DEs? I remember hearing there was some controversy.

Am I correct in asssuming the thick black lines paralleling the track in many places are concrete barriers?

I think those are barriers. I've seen video (perhaps even posted on this board) that showed the track to be very tight, not a lot of straights (for passing) and, well, barriers not too far away either. I'm holding judgement on how good a DE course this will be.

Potomac will be using this track this year. A group of Potomac instrructors spent a day driving it (I had to work that day ) From the inital reports many of the original worries about the track seem to be unfounded. This not to sat that it is without problems but I think folks will like it after we figure out how to instruct on it without puking.

No - Those are not even close to being representative of all the barriers. Perhaps those are the ones that are poured in place. Most of the rest of the track is lined with 'Jersey' walls. Driving the track in someone else's car is fun. Track should be a lot of fun in a low powered car with big brakes.

Unless that map has been updated and concrete barriers have ben removed, there is as Alan said a lot more jersey barrier and some poured stuff. I drove it at a Bill scott instructors day in their Crown Vics. A real blast in someone elses car. I think it will be a very good track for learning how to drive well, late apex etc. Really good for anyone who has a little experience to red run group will learn from it. Instructing is going to be interesting and barf bags may be required as it is very busy, very little passing opportunities so slow drivers will really have to watch their mirrors and help faster cars by. Smooth accurate driving in lower powered cars will really have a blast passing some of the high H.P. stuff, way to go Kurt :P I would recommend anyone who is serious about learning to drive well, do this track and treat it with a healthy dose of respect and 60-70% of potential speed and they will have a great learning experience.

As I said before, it looks like the mother of all shifter kart tracks. Does anyone know if they will have events for karts at the Shenandoah circuit?
