Default questions on cc'ing heads

these are in reference to a type IV motor

1st) recommend a fluid to use. someone said transmission fluid

2nd) i had to cut my own disk and the fit seems OK, not real tight, about 2mm clearance. do i seal the disk with something to keep the fluid in? i was thinking grease (some easy to clean like synthetic wheel bearing grease)

3rd) what's the tolerance? (is this info in a spec book?)

TIA

matt de maria has one HoF thread
Default

ATF works fine
Very thin film of wheel bearing grease against flat surface of head. You can also skip the valve springs and use thin film on the valve face/seat interface.
Most burettes arecalibrated to a 1/10 cc. This will take enough time to get to this tolerance.
