Hey gang,
I'm having some large and numerous engine parts shipped to me but they can't be dropped off at my apt. Apparently shipping companies don't "do that sort of thing."

I asked Pari if I could have them dropped at his house/garage, turns out they need a commercial location for that to happen too. (It may have to do w/ large trucks going down neighborhood roads....)

So my only solution is to ask any of you whether you guys have the type of business that can take commercial shipping deliveries and whether I could use your address for that purpose. I promise not to leave the stuff there longer than one day.

The shipper probably has a terminal in the area. Have it shipped there and then go get it. E.g. Roadway is recieving my 356 transaxle today or tomorrow at their Alexandria terminal. Will go pick it up when notified it is there.

I'm gonna have another talk w/ these cretins... especially since my building has a loading dock for large moving trucks so there is enough place for them as well... I usually thought that they deliver wherever you ask and PAY... thanks for the offer Chris.

These are our buildings we have a dock and it's easy as long as it's not a tractor trailer. Don't tell them that.

If it works we can arrange a date for me to be there of one of our guys.
Will it fit in an SUV?
It might be just as easy to put it in my truck and take it to your front door.

I guess if they ship it today, then sometime next week. I'll have more definite answers when it goes out.

What's the name of the business that I should give them? Is any of those 3 locations more convenient for you?
