Default 944 ride height

I’m re-setting the ride height on a friends 944 NA track car. Does anybody know if there is a easily measured “standard ride height” for ‘44s like there is for 911s? Its way to low now, front A arms actually rise up to the wheels.

Car has adjustable coilovers on the front, bigger torsion bars out back, adjustable sway bars both ends, RA1s all around, tub header, Borla exhaust, chip, roll bar, harnesses, & racing seat. It also has a big ricer tack on the dash, sketchy guards red paint.

Linda & I are scheduled to “debut” the car at VIR next month. It was run on the other coast for several years but was just purchased by my friend. No comments about his judgment please. He already knows I’ll drive it like I stole it

Linda on the other hand will be technical, smooth, & fast

Thanks Matt, I have the manual & know how to adjust the ride height. I even have the correct wrench for adjusting the Bilstien coil overs. I’m looking for a good racetrack ride height & while I’m at it track alignment specs. The car is destined to become almost a dedicated track car with only occasional street use.

Dave:

Don't know the specs, but if you raise the front end to eliminate the upward location of the front suspensiona and then put a protractor type level on the door sill and adjust the rear for 1 degree of rake that should work.

Or maybe Tony could measure his car . . . it's low too.

Dave; I do feel that since you have not driven in some time I'll need to do 2 or 3 or 4 demo laps for you at VIR. In fact, why don't you just drop the car Thursday and head for the motel. I'll brief you Friday at dinner and let you know if it's worth your time coming out Saturday.

PS: bring an extra set of tires please.

John this sounds like a great idea if my IQ was measured in single digits. Do you need to barrow my helmet do they make one that will fit your big head? What did I do to disserve such a friend & how long will I continue to be punished? Maybe I should pay for your room no wait you can stay in the dumpster behind the hotel.. I was hopping you would offer to help now I wont have to fix the brakes. See you tomorrow don’t turn your back on me
