Seeking a shop to do this to a car with bitumen undercoating. Can be done according to Cold Jet. Seeking Mid-Atlantic area or in a perfect word, Central Virginia.
Reputable with references only. Thanks, Tom |

If you can get a lift somewhere you can hire a company that will come to you:
https://sodablastco.com/about-advanc...and-solutions/ There are more places you an find via Google. Best to call them and ask about specific experience with undercoating/ sealer removal.

Thanks, David. I do have a lift and ventilation which is important unless the operator is wearing a breather.
Tried to get a guy from NC to make the trip a few years ago but could never get schedules worked out. Now he's gone. I'll try Soda Blast. We've got a compressor that will run a machine but renting one is another matter and buying it is out of the question unless about a dozen friends get together for a group buy. |

Bitumen can also be removed with common solvents.

Lots of people with portable ice-blasting rigs these days. They are used a lot for cleaning buildings. It's probably worth making some calls.

Chatted with the gentleman from the link BlackTalon listed. We're tentatively set for sometime in February.
Thanks to all for your input. BTW: Wondering why don't I get notifications of replies here? |

Keep in mind that while the dry ice leaves no trace the removed material dust and small chips will need to be contained. Much less mess than bagged grit based blasting but not quite white glove.

+1 it blasts all that dirt somewhere, here's a good video of a 930 comparing power washing vs dry ice blasting:

I would assume a need to rig up a containment chamber with poly sheeting. And that the contractor already was an idea about that.
